(1) 銅鼎母模制作：制作好的青銅器，必須有完美的母模，這是青銅器制作*關鍵的步驟。如果是復制，就需要用青銅器專業去銹法把古器物清理干凈再翻制模具;如果是仿制，就需要雕刻出一件與原古器物一樣的母范。

(2) 銅鼎翻制模具：過去用石膏翻制模具，由于石膏凝固以后，質脆、疏松，所以做出模具的紋飾，立體感不強、線條不夠流暢、利用率不高，往往修整后，紋飾變形、失去原古物的韻味。現在模具翻制，一般采用溫室硫化硅橡膠，不僅方法簡單，而且制作的模具效果非常好。

(3) 銅鼎模殼制作及鑄造打磨：現在一般都采用失蠟鑄造，這種方法簡單快捷，而且能夠不失原器形的韻味，可鑄造出來工藝特別復雜的青銅器。
